Love Hurts

She chuckled as she accepted a kiss from Cian, then Aodhan, her face turning this way and that as Murchadh began the gentle, slow work of divesting her of her ruined clothes. The witch would not feel the cold, and skin contact was required.

Her eyes were heavy-lidded as she scanned over them, taking them in, attempting to learn them as though they had no more than the one night instead of eternity. Her fingers touched the pulse of Cian’s throat and she traced a line up the shadowed column to his jaw. His eyes closed at her touch.

How long had it been?

Maybe too long.

Maybe that explained the urgency. Maybe that was why the Dullaghan were so taken in by a little dying witch that they were, as a unit, willing to risk their standing to claim. The only thing they knew about her was that she was fiery, brave, and unwilling to give in.

That was enough.

“Is this real?” she murmured dreamily as Aodhan sucked at the tender skin under her earlobe.

Cian snorted.

“Real enough.”

Illusion or not didn’t really matter. Illusions could kill, or, in this case, heal. No other creature wove illusions like the fae. They knew what she saw, however–them as they’d appeared when they’d been mortal. For her, that would be real enough. That night, and every night after.

Murchadh urged her to lift her hips for him to slide her jeans and thermals off, and she obeyed mindlessly as she lost herself to Aodhan’s glamour. Cian tugged her robes over her head, and she allowed herself to be pinned between him and Aodhan, who still cradled her on his lap.

Daire remained at a distance, unhurried, a deep, thrumming satisfaction and slow thread of pleasure spilling into their common bond as he watched his fast-moving companions undress their bride. Her eyes locked on him over Cian’s shoulder, and he smiled, rubbing his palm over the ridge of his cock tenting his pants.

Her pupils dilated, mouth parting in response.

Aodhan and Murchadh traded her body between their laps so that Aodhan could strip himself down. The King of Cups bent her forward with a gentle hand on her spine as he pinched the clasp of her bra to open it. She leaned into Cian’s kisses and groaned into his mouth as Murchadh’s hands found their way under the cups of her bra to pinch her nipples. The offending piece of clothing disappeared from her body as Cian tossed it into the woods.

With a moan, she ground herself against Murchadh’s erection, begging with her body. He bit back his response, his desire to spear her on his cock and drive into her until she exploded.

Their hands were tender, mindful of her injuries–she could not feel the pain, and they were protecting her, but it would do no good to aggravate the wounds more than absolutely necessary.

They would cause her enough pain momentarily without it.

“Need to seal the marriage before we can begin,” Murchadh whispered against her hair. “I am sorry.”

“Sorry for what?”
